Dr. Faheem Hussain

Dr. Faheem Hussain is an Assistant Professor in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society at Arizona State University, where he also serves as Chair of the Master of Science in Global Technology and Development program at SFIS. A technology and public policy scholar, he specializes in digital solutions for refugees, ICT for sustainable development, digital rights, and gender empowerment through STEM, with a global focus spanning Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, and North America. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.Sc. in Telecommunications Management from Oklahoma State University, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Dhaka. Before joining ASU, he taught at SUNY Korea, the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh, and Carnegie Mellon University’s Qatar campus, and has collaborated extensively with UN agencies, international development organizations, and global think tanks on technology, policy, and sustainability initiatives.
