Dr. Niu Haibin is Associate Research Fellow and Director of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies and the Center for Latin American Studies at the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). He earned his Ph.D. in International Relations from Fudan University in 2006 and serves as Vice Secretary-General of the Chinese Association for Latin American Studies. His research focuses on China’s foreign policy, great power diplomacy, and China–Latin America relations, with numerous publications on BRICS cooperation, Sino-Brazilian ties, and global governance. Dr. Niu has been a visiting scholar at institutions across the Americas, Europe, and Africa, and has held positions in the Shanghai Municipal Government and the China International Import Expo Bureau
