Dr. Md. Deen Islam

Dr. Md. Deen Islam is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Dhaka and Research Director at RAPID Bangladesh. He holds a PhD in Economics from Boston University and has expertise in development economics, applied international trade, macroeconomics, and urban economics. Dr. Islam has contributed to studies on the implications of Bangladesh’s LDC graduation on access to essential medicines and has worked with organizations such as CIRDAP, RTI International, and the Bureau of Economic Research (BER) of the University of Dhaka. His research employs structural and micro-econometric techniques to analyze household survey and administrative data.
