Dr. Mohammad Azam

t is a distinguished academic and cultural leader in Bangladesh. Born on August 23, 1975, in Hatiya, Noakhali, he completed his MA and PhD in Bengali from the University of Dhaka. His research focuses on the colonization and decolonization of the Bengali language. Currently serving as an associate professor in the Department of Bangla, Dr. Azam was appointed the 19th Director General of Bangla Academy on September 5, 2024. He has authored several notable works, including Bangla Bhashar Uponibeshayan O Rabindranath (2014) and Kobi O Kobitar Shandhane (2020).
