Prof. Dr. Mahbub Ullah is a distinguished economist and former Professor of Economics at the University of Dhaka, renowned for his scholarship and activism. A leading voice in Bangladesh’s development discourse, he has written extensively on globalization, poverty, nationalism, and political economy, authoring thirteen books and numerous articles in Bengali and English. Beyond academia, he served as Chairman of Sonali Bank, member of the Revenue Reform Commission, and the first Pro-Vice Chancellor of National University.
