Dr. Taiabur Rahman

Dr. Taiabur Rahman is a Professor of Development Studies at the University of Dhaka and a distinguished scholar in public policy and governance. He previously served as Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), and chaired the Department of Development Studies at Dhaka University (2006–2009). He was also Associate Professor and Chair of Public Administration at KIMEP University, Kazakhstan (2011–2014), and taught at the University of Rajshahi. Dr. Rahman holds a PhD in Public Policy and Governance from the City University of Hong Kong, an MPhil from the University of Bergen, Norway, and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Dhaka University. His notable publication includes Parliamentary Control and Government Accountability in South Asia (Routledge, 2008, 2012). Widely published in reputed journals, he has provided consultancy services for national and international organizations and is recognized for his expertise in governance, development policy, and higher education accreditation.
