Tasnim Jara is a Bangladeshi physician, researcher, social media personality, and emerging politician. She studied medicine at Dhaka Medical College before earning a Master’s in Evidence-Based Healthcare from the University of Oxford. Jara built her medical career in the UK, working in emergency medicine with the NHS and as a resident at Cambridge University Hospitals, where she also served as a senior clinical supervisor. Alongside her clinical work, she co-founded Shohay Health, a Bengali digital health platform, and gained international recognition during the COVID-19 pandemic for her viral videos debunking medical misinformation, earning the title of “Vaccine Luminary” from the UK government in 2021.
