Abrar Hossain Sayem

Abrar Hossain Sayem is a Bangladeshi entrepreneur and leader in the ready-made garment (RMG) industry. He is the Founder and CEO of Merchant Bay Ltd., a fashion-tech company creating a digital ecosystem that connects buyers and suppliers, and serves as Director of the Sayem Group and Sayem Fashions Ltd. Since 2021, he has also been the founding President of the Bangladesh Apparel Youth Leaders Alliance (BAYLA), a platform empowering young entrepreneurs to drive innovation, sustainability, and market growth in the apparel sector. Sayem serves as a Director of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) for 2024–2026 and previously chaired its Standing Committee on Market Development for Egypt. He advocates for youth leadership, stronger academia-industry collaboration, and streamlined regulations to support business growth. With a forward-looking vision, Sayem champions a globally connected, tech-savvy, and sustainable future for Bangladesh’s RMG industry.
