Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuaad
- General Secretary, AB Party
Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuaad is a prominent Bangladeshi politician and lawyer, serving as the General Secretary of the Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party since January 2025. A London-trained barrister, Fuaad has been actively involved in shaping political discourse in Bangladesh, particularly during the student-led mass uprising of 2024. He previously served as the party’s Joint Secretary General and was elected unopposed to his current role at the AB Party’s first National Council.
Born in Khulna’s Khalishpur, Fuaad comes from a family with a strong legacy of public service; his late father, Abdul Barek Bhuiyan, was a freedom fighter and cultural activist. Fuaad has worked to promote political reforms, advocating for the creation of a commission to investigate political wrongdoing and encouraging parties to commit to a reform charter. He engages the public through media appearances, social platforms, and direct advocacy, including meetings with interim government advisers to promote development projects in his constituency, Barisal-3.
